An International Blockchain Business Conference was organized at Vizag on 9th & 10th October 2017 by Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N.Chandra Babu Naidu. Mr. JA Chowdary, special Secretary and IT advisor to CM announced that a student team led by Krishna Vamsi, a student from KKR & KSR Institute of Technology Sciences (KITS, GUNTUR) has been awarded Rupees 2 Lakhs as a cash price for winning Fintech Valley Student Challenge this team also received a written offer of 50 lakhs from an MNC for their prototype developed on the blockchain. What is more exciting is that the students are not keen on taking the offer and want to go ahead and have their own startup incubated in the college in technical collaboration with Idealabs.

Such Success stories can certainly fuel Innovation and Entrepreneurship on College Campus.

Speaking on the occasion, The IT Minister of AP, N Lokesh met the teams and promised them all support from Govt of AP including funding.

NASSCOM President R.Chandrasekhar congratulated the team and invited them to be a part of NASSCOM Warehouse in Fintech Valley.

Pankaj Diwan, MD of IDEALABS stated that the Fintech Valley Initiative launched by Govt of AP where students from 15 colleges across AP participated in a 4-week summer program (Fintech Valley Student Challenge) on BlockChain, at Fintech Valley as part of Government of AP and APITA initiative and implemented by IDEALABS is a very progressive initiative and will go a long way in seeding entrepreneurship. He also assured of continued mentoring and more activities for students across the state in partnership with Government of AP.

Mr. K Subba Rao, Chairman KITS Guntur committed his full support to the team and announced setting up an incubation center dedicated to BlockChain Technology.
